Start for freeWhat to Expect
You play globetrotting investigators racing to stop an approaching Ancient One. The game sends you to locations worldwide, resolving encounters with monsters, researching mysteries, gathering clues and enduring physical or mental consequences for failures. Narrative Encounter cards build investigator stories while Mystery and Research decks drive the campaign against the looming horror.
Who Is This Game For?
Best for experienced groups who enjoy long, thematic cooperative games. With a recommended age of 14+ and a duration around 240 minutes, Eldritch Horror suits committed game nights rather than casual family play. Solo play is supported.
How It Works
Players use mechanics such as Action Points, Dice Rolling and Point to Point Movement to move investigators and resolve encounters. Rounds include an Encounter Phase where combat or narrative encounters are resolved, while Mystery and Research cards push the overarching plot. Resource management, dice checks and cooperative planning determine whether investigators can delay the Ancient One.
