What to Expect

You take on the roles of iconic Marvel heroes and work together to stop notorious villains in narrative boss battles. The game blends Deck Construction, Hand Management and tableau-building elements to create tense, comic-book-style encounters. As a Living Card Game, it is supported by ongoing product releases from the publisher. Encounters play out as coordinated card interactions and conflict resolution against a villain scheme.

Who Is This Game For?

For players who enjoy cooperative card games, Marvel themes and deck-building. With a minimum age of 14 and 90-minute playtime, it targets experienced or willing-to-learn groups and solo players (supports solitaire rules). Not aimed at those preferring short, purely competitive games.

How It Works

Marvel Champions is a cooperative game using Deck Construction, Hand Management, Events and Interrupts. Players build hero decks, play events and use interrupts to respond to threats while developing a tableau representing their hero. Conflicts are resolved through card play interactions and coordinated team decisions. The objective is to foil the villain’s scheme before it succeeds.

What Makes It Special

Designed by Michael Boggs, Nate French and Caleb Grace, Marvel Champions is a licensed Marvel Living Card Game published by Fantasy Flight Games and partners. It won Board Game Quest Awards Best Cooperative Game in 2019 and received multiple nominations that year. The combination of coop boss battles and a collectible Living Card Game model sets it apart from more abstract card titles.
