Start for freeWhat to Expect
In Piraten Kapern, players roll up to eight dice each turn, setting aside skulls and aiming for high-scoring combinations. If three skulls appear, the turn ends with no points. Players can keep dice showing scoring symbols and re-roll others, balancing risk and reward. Pirate cards drawn each turn modify gameplay, adding variety and strategic twists. The game ends when a player reaches 6,000 points.
Who Is This Game For?
This family-friendly game for 2 to 5 players aged 8 and up offers quick gameplay of about 30 minutes. It suits casual gamers who enjoy simple rules with an element of risk management. No prior experience is needed, making it accessible for families and newcomers.
How It Works
At the start of your turn, you roll all eight dice and must set aside any skulls. If you roll three skulls, your turn ends with zero score. You may set aside other scoring dice and re-roll the rest to build combinations such as three to eight of a kind for points. Gold and diamond symbols add extra points. Before rolling, you draw a pirate card that alters your turn’s scoring or rules. Play continues until a player reaches 6,000 points.
What Makes It Special
