What to Expect

Players take on the role of property owners who buy, develop, and collect rent to build wealth. Each turn, players roll dice to move around the board, purchasing or auctioning unowned properties. Owning full color groups lets players build houses and hotels to increase rent income. Landing on others’ properties requires paying rent. The goal is to bankrupt opponents and be the last player with money.

Who Is This Game For?

Monopoly targets families and casual players aged 8 and up, expecting longer play sessions up to 3 hours. It is a family game requiring no deep prior experience but is less suited for short or highly strategic play.

How It Works

On your turn, you roll two dice and move your token accordingly. Landing on an unowned property gives you the option to buy it or auction it (Auction / Bidding). Owning all properties in a color group allows you to build houses and hotels, increasing your income (Income) from rent. You may take out mortgages (Loans) to raise cash when needed. Players go bankrupt when out of money and are eliminated.
