In Cosmolancer, players place secret drawn tiles on a 6x5 grid to influence the income of their tokens. Over three rounds, you multiply your token values by the sums of tiles in their row and column, with special tiles affecting scoring. The game demands tactical planning as only some tokens return while others are removed from play.
Who Is This Game For?
Designed for players aged 9 and up, Cosmolancer is a medium-complexity game lasting about 45 minutes. It supports 2 to 4 players who enjoy abstract strategy with a light fantasy setting and like tactical decision-making. Prior experience with similar mechanics is helpful.
How It Works
Each round starts with players drawing a secret tile. On your turn, you can place a tile on the board, play your secret tile, or place one of your numbered tokens on an empty spot. After filling the board, tokens score by multiplying their number with the sum of tile values in their row and column. After three rounds, the highest score wins.
