What to Expect
You play as an alchemist seeking to succeed Hermes Trismegistus by transmuting metals into gold using dice drafting and action points. Over three rounds, you draft three dice each round to collect essences, acquire artifacts, and conduct experiments. Progress along mastery tracks and build a secret hand of publication cards to determine your final score and possibly become the greatest alchemist.
Who Is This Game For?
This game targets experienced players aged 14 and up who enjoy complex and tactical dice games. With a playtime of about 120 minutes, it demands patience and strategic planning. A solo mode is included, appealing to fans of solitaire-style gameplay.
How It Works
Each round, dice with alchemical symbols are rolled and grouped by type. On your turn, you either draft a new die or use the untapped power of a previously drafted die. Action points enable you to perform transmutations, collect essences, and buy artifacts. Open drafting and contracts add tactical depth, while end game bonuses influence your final scoring.
