What to Expect

You experience the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in AD 79. Before the eruption, you place your pieces in buildings across the city. After the first eruption, you can add relatives and use event cards to remove opponents' pieces into the volcano. Following the second eruption, lava tiles block paths and you move pieces toward the city exits. Tactical hand management and grid movement shape the gameplay.

Who Is This Game For?

This game is designed for families and enthusiasts who enjoy tactical challenges with a moderate playtime. Suitable for players aged 10 and up, it requires no extensive prior experience. Ideal for 2 to 4 players who have about 45 minutes to play.

How It Works

The game uses hand management and grid movement on a square grid. Before the eruption, you place pieces in buildings. After eruptions, lava tiles are placed killing pieces and blocking paths. Movement points determine how far pieces move, based on the number of pieces on their current square. Event cards allow tactical actions like throwing opponent pieces into the volcano.
