In Piou Piou, players experience a frantic scenario in a henhouse where a fox prowls and eggs have not yet hatched. Players can discard cards or perform actions such as laying eggs, hatching chicks, or stealing eggs from others. The game is fast-paced and interactive, including fun activities like imitating hen sounds. The goal is to be the first to collect three chicks.
Who Is This Game For?
Piou Piou is aimed primarily at children aged 5 and up and works well as a family game. Its simple set collection mechanic and short playtime of about 10 minutes make it ideal for young players and families with little gaming experience. It is not a complex strategy game but a quick, casual play experience.
How It Works
Each turn, a player chooses whether to throw a card into the pot or perform one of the actions: laying an egg, hatching a chick, or stealing an egg. Laying eggs requires a combination of hen, rooster, and nest cards. Hatching chicks requires two hen cards and flipping one of the player's own eggs. Stealing is done with a fox card but can be countered by the opponent presenting two rooster cards. The first player to get three chicks wins.
