In Nessos, you play Greek heroes capturing mythological creatures in amphoras to offer to the gods. Bluffing is key to win valuable cards while avoiding too many Charon cards that cause elimination. Players take turns offering cards face down to others who can accept, refuse, or pass them on, creating tense interactions in short rounds.
Who Is This Game For?
Nessos suits families and casual players aged 8 and up who enjoy quick, interactive card games with bluff elements. With a 20-minute playtime, it works well for short sessions and requires basic social and strategic skills.
How It Works
Each player starts with five cards. On your turn, offer a face-down Amphora or Charon card to another player, honestly stating the card’s number if it’s an Amphora; bluffing is allowed with Charon cards. The recipient can accept, refuse, or add a card and pass them on. Getting three Charon cards results in elimination, blending Player Elimination and Take That mechanics.
