In Momentum, the lead shifts like Newton’s cradle as players place marbles on a square board. Each turn, you drop a marble that pushes adjacent marbles in up to eight directions, trying to keep all your marbles on the board while forcing your opponent to lose theirs. The game includes a Pie Rule for the second player’s first move and an optional 30-round limit to avoid long games.

How It Works

The core mechanic is tile placement on a 7x7 grid. Players alternate placing marbles which push connected lines of marbles orthogonally and diagonally, potentially pushing some off the board. The Pie Rule allows the second player to replace the first player's initial marble during their first turn. Victory goes to the first player to have all eight marbles on the board after their turn.
