Biography

Tilsit Éditions was a French publisher active between 1992 and 2006; 26 of its games are listed in our database. From 2003 it organized releases into three main lines: Tilsit Collection (large-box), Tilsit Poche (small-box multiplayer) and Tilsit Famille (intermediate games). The company published boardgames, wargames and children’s games and also distributed some French versions of Kosmos titles for a period.

Between 1992 and 2006 Tilsit released a varied catalogue and gained attention in the 2000s with several internationally noticed titles. The publisher’s portfolio emphasizes card games, city-building and nautical themes and features mechanics such as hand management, area majority/influence and variable player powers.
