What to Expect

In Wise and Otherwise, one player reads the first half of an old proverb while others write creative endings. These are shuffled and read aloud, then players vote on which they believe is authentic. Points are awarded for votes received and correct guesses, encouraging bluffing and creative wordplay in a light party game setting.

Who Is This Game For?

Designed for players aged 12 and up who enjoy language challenges and bluffing games. With a duration of around 45 minutes, it suits casual groups looking for a fun party experience. No special prior knowledge is required, making it accessible as a family or casual gamer title.

How It Works

Each round, one player acts as the Reader and reads the first half of a proverb. Other players write plausible endings which are shuffled and read aloud. Everyone then secretly votes on the ending they believe to be correct. Points are given for votes on your submissions and for voting the original ending. The game ends when a player reaches 20 points.
