In Gravwell, players command spaceships trapped in another dimension after a black hole. You collect resources and use gravity to slingshot toward the warp gate. Movement cards determine your ship’s path toward or away from objects, influenced by opponents’ actions. The game features drafting, simultaneous action selection, and an action queue that resolves moves alphabetically, requiring tactical planning and adaptation.
Who Is This Game For?
Gravwell is a medium-complexity game suitable for 1 to 4 players aged 10 and up. It includes a solo mode and typically lasts about 45 minutes. Players with some experience in drafting and simultaneous action mechanics will find it accessible and engaging.
How It Works
Each round, players draft pairs of movement cards with limited information. Players then simultaneously select cards to play, which resolve in alphabetical order. Your ship moves toward or away from nearby objects based on the cards played and the position of other ships. A single-use "Emergency Stop" card per round allows you to avoid unexpected moves tactically.
