What to Expect

In Attila, players influence the migrations of Germanic tribes into the declining Roman Empire in 375 A.D. Players place tribal markers on a map to expand influence and increase their control. When provinces reach a certain threshold, wars break out, eliminating the weakest tribes. Timing and strategic placement are key to protecting favored tribes and scoring points during century-end phases.

Who Is This Game For?

Attila is aimed at experienced players aged 10 and up who enjoy moderately complex historical strategy games. With a game time around 45 minutes, it suits those looking for shorter but tactical sessions. Familiarity with Area Majority and influence mechanics enhances the experience.

How It Works

On their turn, players play a card to place a tribal marker or boost their influence in a tribe. When five markers occupy a province, a war occurs, and the weakest tribe is eliminated based on marker count and additional cards played. Points are scored at the end of each century phase according to influence and tribe presence.
