In Pizza Theory, players take turns placing pizza toppings on a board, aiming to control majority areas through clever placement and simultaneous dice selection. Each round’s outcome varies as players secretly pick a number to position a pizza cutter, dividing the pizza into slices. Majority control in these slices lets players replace opponents’ toppings. The game is deterministic except for the hidden dice choice and ends when a player places all their toppings.
Who Is This Game For?
Pizza Theory is ideal for players who enjoy short abstract strategy games. With a 15-minute playtime and simple rules, it suits families and casual gamers aged 6 and up, requiring no extensive prior experience.
How It Works
Players alternate placing toppings on the board, ensuring new toppings are not adjacent to their own. Then, all simultaneously choose a number from 1 to 6 to place a pizza cutter dividing the board into slices. In each slice, players with the majority of toppings replace opponents’ toppings. The game ends when a player places all their toppings.
