In Tantrix, players place hexagonal tiles with colored lines to create the longest line or a closed loop of their chosen color. You tactically fill required spaces that force opponents to help extend your tracks while expanding your own moves. The game offers solitaire puzzles and multiplayer for up to six players. With open hands of six tiles and random draws, it blends strategy, luck, and skill.
Who Is This Game For?
Tantrix suits hobby gamers and puzzle enthusiasts who enjoy abstract strategy with a short playtime of about 30 minutes. Recommended from 8 years old, it includes a solo mode, appealing to both single players and groups.
How It Works
Players place hex tiles to build patterns (Pattern Building) by filling mandatory spaces bordered by at least three tiles (Tile Placement). After placing a tile, a new one is drawn. The goal is to form the longest line or closed loop in your color, with loops scoring double per tile.
