In Qwinto, all players simultaneously try to fill three colored rows on their score sheets with numbers rolled on dice. Players must place sums in ascending order without repeating numbers in the same vertical column. The game challenges players to complete rows or columns while avoiding mistakes that cost points. Fast-paced and tactical, Qwinto offers a unique roll-and-write experience.
Who Is This Game For?
Qwinto is aimed at families and casual gamers who enjoy quick, easy-to-learn games. With a playing time of about 15 minutes, it fits well into short gaming sessions. Suitable for players aged 8 and up, it requires no prior experience and is an accessible entry into roll-and-write games.
How It Works
Each player gets a score sheet with three colored rows and five vertical columns. On a turn, the active player rolls one to three dice matching the row colors. Players can enter the sum into a matching colored row, ensuring numbers increase left to right and no duplicates appear in a vertical column. If the active player can’t place a number, they mark a misthrow. The game ends when a player completes two rows or four misthrows are reached. Points are scored based on completed rows, columns, and penalties.
